The funny part is, she was in what we call "costume coma" most of the night, but then as soon as kids arrived at the door, she was suddenly alert and excited again. So she's totally being a drama queen.

No. She would have been embarrassed because she wore this costume the last time she went to it.
If mom was in town this never would have happened. P.S. Ran in to your mom at my store and she told me to tell you she says "Hi". The idea of that made me chortle.
